Chanting Night
Friday night kirtans offered at Atlas Studio! If you enjoy yoga, meditation, or inner peace you will probably love chanting. Kirtan, or devotional chanting, is a special form of music that celebrates the Divine energy in all of us. Each person who attends becomes part of the music by participating in the song. Most chants are in sanskrit and are easy to learn. All are welcome, regardless of any prior kirtan/musical experience. Bring a cushion and a bottle of water.
Cost is by donation $5-$20. This money is split between the studio and charity.

Reiki Attunements
Usui (level 1and 2) and Shamballa Reiki (level 1 and 2, must be attuned in Usui Reiki 1 and 2 first).
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
What is an attunement?
Who should do an attunement? The attunement procedure is a ceremony of spirit. In this ceremony the Reiki master uses the Reiki symbols and other gestures in a prescribed way. This ceremony creates an energy pattern around the recipient of the attunement which entrains (or attunes) their energy field to the energies represented by the symbols. The attunement is permanent, thus making the recipient a Reiki practitioner.
An energy attunement helps to open up your own awareness of your Divine nature. It is a gateway to a new energy that flows into your life and creates transformations, often in ways you don’t even expect. An attunement doesn’t make you an instant guru, but it is the first step on a journey. You will never be the same after an attunement because it is your statement to the Universe that you are ready to embark on a journey towards your true Self. The energy begins to integrate with you and fully emerges over time.
What is Usui Reiki?
In the classic Usui System of Reiki there are three Reiki levels. There are three Reiki Attunements that correspond and are given with those levels. The levels are first, second, and Master. In the 1st Level Reiki Attunement, the symbols are used in the attunement, but none are made available to the student. In the 2nd Level, the first three Reiki Symbols -- the Power, Long Distance, and the Mental/ Emotional Symbols are attuned to the student and the student can use them. The Master symbol is attuned and passed on to the student for use in the Reiki Master Attunement. All the Reiki symbols are used in the process of giving all three Reiki Attunements.
What is Shamballa Reiki?
An attunement into Shamballa connects you with your I AM (Mahatma) presence. It’s main purpose is toactivate self empowerment, increase your overall vibration, and assist in your personal evolution, wholeness, and freedom. When you work with the Mahatma energy for your own healing or that of others, all of life benefits. Each time you work with Shamballa and open to being a healing presence in the world, you automatically assist others in doing likewise. You are able to physically hold higher vibrational energies and anchor these energies into the Earth plane. By bringing Shamballa into your life you allow more healing love energy to come into the world. In this course, there are 4 levels of attunement. The first opens you to receive the energy, the second focuses on distance healing, the third adds more symbols and teaches you to be an effective healing facilitator, and the 4th/Master level results in the download of all 352 Shamballa symbols into your auric field. Once you’ve reached the Master Level, you will know how to teach and attune others to all levels.
A reiki attunement is not just so we can help others but to help ourselves with our health and our journey in life.
